How I saved my palm tree

Remove root rot & repot the plant
Remove any root which looks unhealthy using sterilized pruners. Repot the plant in a new, sterilized pot filled with fresh potting mix.

If possible, move the plant to a room with a window to get more indirect light and fresh air.

Propagate your palm tree
Sterilize pruners and cut off 4 to 6 stems with roots and place them in potting soil. Water the potting mix every day for about three months.
