5 Game-Changing Gardening Life Hacks You’ll Wish You Knew Sooner

Sharing is caring!

Here it comes, the all-time favorite season for every gardener!

You are probably already in a hurry preparing the garden for the arrival of your favorite plants, fruits, and vegetables. What if I told you there are gardening tricks that will save you time and, most importantly, money!

Since I started using them, my garden has never looked better! Don’t even get me started on my plants, they are blooming happily without any complications!

These tips are also great for beginners! Even if you have a busy schedule, that won’t be a problem. They’ll barely take any of your time at all.

Get ready to make the most of your gardening skills!

#1 A Plastic Bottle Will Help You Harvest All The Juicy Fruits

For this trick, you will need a plastic box, a broom handle, and scissors. Do you know what the best part is? It won’t cost a penny! You have everything you need at home, so let’s get started!

Take the scissors and cut from the middle to the bottom of the bottle. It needs to be in the shape of a small princess’s crown. Once you’ve done that, take the broom handle and place it on the neck of the bottle. Now, go to your delicious fruits and harvest them!

Easy as pie, right? If you’re afraid of heights like I am, then this is a great option for you because you won’t risk falling down while collecting the fruits and having to spend the summer in a cast!

#2 Growing Mushrooms Indoors Isn’t As Difficult As You Might Think

Mushrooms in coffee grounds? I know, that sounds crazy, right? But trust me, once you try it, you won’t be able to stop doing it!

If you’re a big coffee lover and drink it every day, that’s great! Don’t throw away the coffee grounds. Instead, save them for your next hack. Take the mushroom you want to grow (I used oyster mushrooms) then layer coffee grounds and mushrooms in a jar (make sure to gently squeeze them in your hands before placing them). Before closing the jar, put some baking paper on top, then cover them. Place the jar in a moist, dark place

After thirty days, open the jar and prepare to be amazed by how much they’ve grown! Then you’ll have fresh mushrooms for homemade pizza!

#3 Cinnamon Can Drive Away Annoying Pests From Your Garden

I hope you can go a few days without cinnamon rolls because you’ll need cinnamon for your garden! Not only do you love eating this spice, but your plants need it too.

When your seedlings start to grow, they’re threatened by fungi. But you won’t have to worry about that if you use cinnamon!

Here’s how you can do it. Mix cinnamon with warm water and let it sit in a bottle overnight. Then, take a strainer and strain your magic potion. Go to your lovely plants and spray them with the resulting mixture. After this, there will be no trace of fungi!

#4 Plant Aloe Vera With This Tropical Fruit And Get Ready For Rapid Growth

This was the first trick I tried, and I can definitely say that it amazed me. I hope you’ll give this one a try first. Aloe vera is a very important plant for your health, so it’s always good to have it at home. It’s even better when you know that its growth can be sped up!

Take a banana and make space in the middle for the aloe vera. Then plant them together in pots. Bananas contain potassium, which will make your plants grow like crazy!

You can also try making a banana peel fertilizer, which will be great for your fruits! Isn’t that amazing?

#5 Pet-Proof Your Garden To Keep Your Plants Safe And Sound

Do your dogs love rolling around in the flowerbed? Mine do too! Lately, they’ve even found it interesting to do their zoomies right on my vegetables. Not cool!

One solution is to fence off your garden so they can’t reach the plants. Another great idea I came up with is to create their own little wonderland—a special play area.

I put their favorite toys in a part of the garden far away from the crops, and I can tell you, this has been a very successful tactic!

Have you already chosen which hack you’ll use first? Whatever you decide on, I’m sure it will be of great help to you. These gardening tricks are, without a doubt, the best I’ve tried so far!

The only thing you need to add is a good mood for great enjoyment when testing these experiments!

That won’t be hard to achieve because gardeners always have fun!
