Grow This Fragrant Herb To Get Rid Of Wasps From Your Garden

Sharing is caring!

Wasps in the garden? No thanks!

I’ve had my share of problems with wasps in the garden – they were literally everywhere. While they’re important for nature, I’d rather they stay far away from my yard.

Luckily, I managed to get rid of them before they nested, and it’s all thanks to this wonder herb: rosemary!

This fragrant herb smells amazing to us but wasps can’t stand the scent – they will be buzzing off as soon as they spot it.

Rosemary is also easy to grow, looks great in the garden, and is super useful in the kitchen (what’s not to like?).

So, if you want to keep wasps away without harming them, keep reading and see how rosemary can help!

If you want to enjoy your garden in peace and without the risk of getting stung, growing rosemary is the perfect choice.

First of all, you’ll be able to soothe your nerves with the fresh, minty scent of rosemary. Wasps, on the other hand, absolutely despise this scent and won’t go anywhere near it.

Once they catch a whiff of rosemary with their super-sensitive noses, they’ll be buzzing off in no time.

In fact, studies have shown that rosemary oil (especially when mixed with geranium or clove oils) keeps yellowjackets and other wasps far away. No wonder this plant is in so many natural pest repellents!

The best thing about rosemary is that it’s ridiculously easy to grow. All it needs is sunlight, well-drained soil, and a little love.

You can grow it in the garden or a pot – no matter what you choose, I guarantee you that your rosemary will thrive and make everything better with its pretty blooms and mesmerizing fragrance.

If you keep it in a pot, you can place it right where the wasps like to hang out – that could be your patio, porch, or balcony. This way, you’ll get less buzzing and more blooming!

For extra wasp-repelling power, pluck a few rosemary leaves. Then you can crush them or burn them to release their strong scent.

No fresh rosemary? No problem!

Mix some rosemary essential oil with water and spray it around areas where wasps might show up. Just don’t spray it directly on them or their nests (that’s asking for trouble).
