Hey there, sleeping beauty! I hope your winter sleep is over and you’re ready for spring cleaning. I know it’s hard to force yourself to work after winter, but with a little effort you can succeed.
None of us want our garden and grass to look overgrown and as if no one has lived there for years, so it’s important to learn how to achieve this.
I have a huge garden myself and I have been arranging it in the same way for years.
Everything is always in order, I get compliments from every passer-by (not that I’m bragging), and that’s why I want to pass on my secrets to you.
Are you ready to make your garden the center of everyone’s admiration? Roll up your sleeves and get ready for spring action!
#1 Don’t Forget To Water Regularly
I know you have a lot of questions but let’s start with something very important, which is watering your grass.
It’s best to start early in the morning, before the sun has risen. That being said, you shouldn’t water when the temperature is high or in the evening.
Morning watering allows enough time for absorption. It’s also advisable to water just once or twice a week. Of course, everything you grow, from plants to grass, needs water, but be careful not to overdo it.
At the beginning, while I still didn’t know how to do it, I thought it was better to water the grass several times, but after a few days, fungi started to appear on the lawn.
#2 Get Some Fertilizer For The Grass
Another great way to care for your grass is through fertilization.
First, check if the grass is free of dry leaves.
Then, select the appropriate fertilizer for your soil type because there are many options available. Once you’ve completed this step, it’s important to water the lawn to activate the effectiveness of the fertilizer.
As you can see, it’s not difficult at all. You can always seek advice from a store to learn how to choose the right fertilizer.
I hope you’re having fun so far because there are many more interesting things to come!
#3 Grab Your Lawnmowers Or Trimmers And Make Magic Happen
My dear gardeners, it’s time to get your trimmers and lawn mowers out of the garage and make your garden look like one from a fairy tale.
Which one you use depends on what suits you better. For example, if you have a large garden, a lawnmower is a great thing for you. Put on your headphones, play your favorite summer playlist, and get into action.
You might even get a free workout routine!
Trimmers are better if you have a smaller garden and/or many trees, fences, and bushes. There are a lot of models that are really easy to handle, so you won’t get too tired.
Now it’s all up to you. Whatever you decide, I believe you will do an excellent job!
#4 Sprinklers Are Your Best Sidekick
If you’re not home all the time, you have a day job, or are in a hurry, I might have the perfect solution for you.
Grass sprinklers are an excellent choice. Simply set them up and let them do the job for you.
There are two common types: hand sprinklers and rotation sprinklers. Rotating ones are best for a larger garden because they can cover the entire garden with water. It is also important to maintain the sprinklers, clean them regularly, and check that everything is in order.
When I was little, I loved to run under the sprinklers because it was so refreshing on hot summer days.
Okay, I won’t lie – I still occasionally sneak a little run under them because it’s just awesome and I feel like a little kid again!
The sprinklers will really do a great job, so don’t worry, with their help your grass will get the water it needs. Trust me, they will become your best friends!
#5 Don’t Let Your Furry Companions Ruin Your Lawn
I know you wouldn’t want your beloved pets to ruin all your hard work. As the owner of a beautiful dog, I can tell you from my experience that having a dog and a stylish garden at the same time isn’t an easy job.
But don’t worry, I have a solution for that too. All you need are their favorite snacks and a lot of patience.
Create a special area where your dog can relieve itself, and then train him to use that spot. Simply repeat the process with snacks for a few days, and you will succeed. Your little buddy will learn quickly because they really are smart animals.
Almost done! Now, just start working as soon as you can.
All you need is imagination and patience, and you’ll have a lovely garden with beautiful grass.
When I first started, it was tough, but if you keep going and see the results of your hard work, you’ll know it was worth it. Don’t give up!
Just picture sunny days ahead, your friends visiting, and all of you enjoying the view from your garden. Everyone will love what you’ve done. Now that you know all that, you can share tips and advice with your friends and family.
