Not every mushroom needs to come out, but there are situations where removal makes clear sense. Safety is the most straightforward reason.

Lawn care habits matter too. Avoid over-fertilizing with nitrogen-heavy products, which can accelerate the breakdown of organic matter and temporarily increase fungal activity.
